Tipped off about this betrayal by chain-smoking weirdo Shirley (Viveca’s mole within Lang’s business), a desperate Viveca heads off to Lessing’s  batchelor pad in a bid to get her beautifully manicured mitts on the formula and the single pot of the miracle cream that he has in his possession. His ‘n’ hers coats were in vogue that season…. Shoes: Not worn. Not to compare Sherlock (BBC) and Columbo, especially given one is 40 years later, has a larger budget, far fewer episodes, and more technology, but I prefer Sherlock’s endings as they tend to be so much more fun and satisfying (though at great speed requiring one to watch multiple times).
